I got a promotion at Borders. I made Employee of the Quarter! My hard work up until the promotion paid off! I really like working there. It is a lot of fun and we are a great team.
I am now the Multimedia Kids Merch Team Supervisor. More money more hours benefits... All a plus.... Unfortunately everything I was doing in my life has taken a back burner. Too many weird hours and too many sick fellow employees who called in sick.....but hopefully that will level off for now. All I did on my days off was sleep. I am getting into a regular schedule. It just needs to work itself out. Things will be a little easier as we fall into the routine. Things were a huge mess in the department because the last supervisor left at the end of November.
My son's ex-wife has a death wish and many of us are thinking of helping her out. Everytime we get him, he has some form of a diaper rash. Now he has pink eye. She never sends clothes that fit him... So we have all bought clothes for him when we got him. During the winter she kept forgetting to put his coat on him or even bring it when she dropped him off. He was sick all winter. Imagine the intensity of my surprise! The last time I had him, she came over and picked him up after an hour because her and my son got into a huge fight over the various things she has been doing with him... (or not doing). Dominic is the light of my life and I will fight till my dying breath to keep him safe from harm. I know what the love is for my children but a grandchild is very different. I was the one who bonded with Dominic when he was born. I got to hold him for the first 4 hours of his life. We have very special feelings for each other. We have decided to get Grandparents rights so that his mother can not just come and take him ever again when he is visiting with us. It was a very heart wrenching experience for Dominic and us. he did not want to go with her and kept reaching out to me. There was nothing at that point that I could do. It was very awful.
The year started off with a bang. as you can tell from my previous posts....
Went to 12th Night and had a great time. It was fun to see old friends and make some new ones. I still have to send in my prestige list for those that worked security. I am hoping to do that today. I found out at 12th Night that my blood pressure was too high. So I went to the doctors and now I am on new drugs for my Fibromyalgia and am on a water pill to help lower the blood pressure. I go back in 2 weeks to see what happens next. I have to take my blood pressure 2-3 times a day. I also have to take my asthma inhaler 2 times a day along with my steroid inhaler once a day whether I need it or not. My alergies have been kicking up so I am now on alergy meds too. Sometimes I feel like a walking pharmacy!
Conflation was interesting this year. I had a good time. The most interesting time was in my hotel room and what I got to watch. Being a voyeur can be fun!

I am doing the Atkins diet and so far as of my last visit lost 5 pounds. Not bad for having started it the week before the doctor visit. I will see what I lost next visit. I had a weird craving that started a few weeks ago that I have never had before when doing Atkins. I wanted Lemonade and a LOT of it. It is very weird for me. I normally do not drink it unless I am very very hot. But another weird thing has been going on too.... I am having hot flashes again. This must be my normal time for menopause. I did the slam menopause when I had to have a complete hysterectomy 8 years ago. It was quick and so very painful time to have menopuase hit like that. But now I am having the hot flashes again. I hated that part. I guess that means I will be on some other drug when I see the doctor again!
In between all of the above I am trying to get things done for Clovercon, spend time with my family and try to read some books I just giot.
