stormiestlI am not happy the way the vote went this past Tuesday. I am amazed at how many people figured that the gays had an agenda to get rid of heterosexual marriage and felt it was needful to discriminate. It seems we are all still living in the 50's. Next thing someone will say they are all communists. They will all get black listed. I think it is high time that the government stay out of our PERSONAL lives and deal with the real issues at hand. I am tired of freedoms being taken away one by one and we all stand here and do nothing. It is disgusting the way people are in this country. But hey at least we have the freedom of speech..... for now anyways......
I vote we get rid of the electoral college and the current sitting president. All in one fell swoop. The popular vote should be what one is elected by. That is how the other elections are done. Why not the presidential one??
I want to know where Bin Laden is? Why has be not be hunted down like Sadam was? Why is he not standing before the world court? Why is he not in jail? Did Bush think we were going to forget him?
I also think we need to get the drug enforcement people out of our personal lives too. We waste a lot of money on police trying to crack down on the drug users. I say let them do what they want to their bodies. They get no federal or state assistance and they have to figure out where their meals are coming from. As long as I am not supporting them either in jail or on welfare, I say let them alone. If they rob someone or kill them then they go to jail for that. Not the drug use. There are more people in jail for having a joint on them or in their car. Get them out of jail and back to work. Use the jails for people who NEED to be there.
I also think that prostitution should be legalized. That way all the women and men can get healthcare and proof that they have no diseases and they can pay taxes like the rest of us. Again.. this is something PERSONAL that the government is butting into. I do not care what anyone does in the bedroom. It does not affect me....
